Most of us generally associate brain washing with pain and torture. For that reason the majority of us think of brain washing as a bad thing.

The mention of it generally results in mental pictures of dungeons and chains. Black hooded individuals with whips and electrical probes. The painful removal of finger nail or other abnormal body alterations. The cinema have done a very good job on brain washing us, the masses, into believing that brain washing is BAD.

Everything has two sides, a good side and a bad side. There is a good side to brain washing. Brain washing can be used for fun and profit.

Think about this.

When you convince someone to buy something they had not originally thought about until you brought it to their attention. Or you get an individual, a friend, a family member, or a total stranger to join you in a business venture even after that had told you numerous times that they were not interested. But as a result of your persistence and introduction on new information they participate.

How about when you post eye catching color graphics and accompany them with a hypnotic script containing words and sounds and images which ultimately result in convincing the viewer to take a desired action.

Have you done any of these? If you've done any of the above, aren't you using brain washing for profit?

How about this?

You want to accomplish a specific goal. To accomplish this goal it requires you change certain of your habits. You design an affirmation which you repeat constantly throughout the day to affirm your new habits and your goal.

Or you want a new something. A house or a car or a boat or a motor home. Something tangible.

You gather photographs and information on this something and you read the information and look at the photographs of this new something. You spend time daily memorizing the features of this new something. You visualize yourself in possession and use of this something.

Or say one of your children has low self confidence, or is a poor student, or is making bad decisions in their companion selection. You decide to do something about it.

Every opportunity that you get you feed positive reinforcement to that child in the form of words and examples.

Aren't these forms of brain washing for fun?

Brain washing is used every day, every where, by every one and a lot of it is done without your awareness, your knowledge or your permission.

They (the brain washers) just don't use the BAD WORD..."brain washing" when they do it. They use subliminals, images and broadcast methods. They are called public service announcements, laws, advertisements, etc. However, it is what it is and no matter what you call it, brain washing is brain washing.

So what's my point?

I don't want to brain wash you, but I would like to impact your thinking in a positive manner, especially if you are interested in building a business online or off line.
