Hi, I'm G'Harold, chief cook and bottle washer here at 10001 Press.Com. You know how little things that you see, say, hear, or do during your life have the greatest influence over you? Well there were a few such happenings which I can recall which influenced me and brought me to where I am today

Such as my early introduction and belief in GOD. My learning to memorize bible passages and use them as affirmations. The gift of a copy of Think and Grow Rich and Psycho-Cybernetics when I was sixteen.

A TV show about a man who found a genie in a lamp. He wished for great wealth. The genie told him in order for his wish to be granted he was to never throw anything away. He obeyed, not understanding nor obtaining his wish,...so he thought, he saved everything. For years, decades, almost a half century he kept every thing. Living almost like a bum, but moving in faith. Just at the brink of despair, ready to give up and destroy all that he had saved over the years he discovered his wish had come true. All that he had saved had become antiques which had great value. He begin selling his possessions. He became fabulously wealthy.

And a passage I read that stated if an individual were to take any subject and spend 15 to 30 minutes a day studying that subject within 5 to 7 years that individual would become an expert in that subject. There were others influences but these I feel had the greatest positive affect on me.

Let me tell you a more little bit more about myself. I had a successful One Hour photo lab in Michigan. I decided I could be even more successful if I were located in a vacation area, so I closed my Michigan store and moved to beautiful Hawaii. Unknown to me, Hawaii was saturated with this type of business. My competition had more modern equipment and deeper pockets than I had to operate their businesses. I was not prepared for this. My new business barely made it, I closed it after two years of struggling.

Now I am stuck with this expensive and obsolete photo processing equipment which I am unable to use to earn a living. I finally had to seek another method to care for my family and I. I had been in the insurance business before opening my photo lab, so I resumed my career in insurance. I worked for a company for a while, then, I opened my own company. I have always believed that being your own boss was the key to financial independence.

In 1985, while operating my insurance business, I received information about multilevel opportunity. I was always reading about or sending off for information on money making opportunities. That was the subject which I devoted my 15 to 30 minutes of daily studying. I bet I've sent for information on everything currently out there. Some of the opportunities I tried, but they weren't for me, so I had no real success with them. Others, were not worth the paper they were printed on. But I saved all of it. All of the books. All of the tapes. All of the mail. All of the magazine articles. All of the study courses. Everything!

There was something different about this particular MLM offer. I immediately signed up. I believed highly in there products and marketing concept. I had been using similar type products to motivate myself to achieve my past success. I wanted to share this concept with the world... BECAUSE IT WORKS.

I had limited funds to invest, so I made a small purchase of catalogs and products and mailed them out. I RECEIVED RESPONSES AND SIGNED UP A FEW, plus I sold some merchandise. Shortly afterward, I received a commission check, my first ever. This really excited me.

Of all the MLM companies that 1 had been involved with (and there were many), this was the first Company which I received a check from with so little effort and investment. I was ready to go. I continued investing what money I could and built a group, totally through the mail. My approach was as a hobbyist, not that of a business builder.

I enjoyed what I was doing, but 1 was not doing it correctly. I did not know how to make MLM work. I was not communicating with my down line group. I wasn't keeping my company enrollment current. I was making massive mistakes. My down line was suffering. Life's little income pressures were upon me. I had to quit my hobby. I dropped out of the MLM company.

I knew that I would return to this industry so I continued to read and study. I continued to build my resource library. A few years after my break with my favorite MLM company I received some recruitment literature about them. While comparing the company's marketing plan and products with the original company information (remember I saved everything), I made a startling discovery. Two of the companies top income producers were recruited by me. Right on my monthly print out sat their names. I had given up to early and I LOST. I vowed never to quit too early again.

And I didn't. I go involved again. This time I did not quit. This time I made it. The stories of the Wal-mart Cashier and the 50 year old Gas Station Attendant, these are my stories. They detail some of the how I did it.

My kids are all off to college now or graduated. There mom is pursuing her own interest and I have a new goal. I want to teach. Not in the formal school setting. I want to share my experiences with others interested in mastering their financial and personal life. Why do I want to do this?
